Summerhill Home provides Permanent Care. We have twenty two bedrooms, eight of which has en-suite facilities and the other bedrooms are situated close to either a bathroom or toilet.
Summerhill Home has developed throughout the years with widened corridors, variety of room sizes and bright spacious lounge and dining areas.
Residents rooms are encouraged to be individualised, with personal belongings to have the homely feeling and atmosphere in the personal area.
We provide domestic and laundry facilities and these are attended to on a daily basis.
Meals are served in the dining room but can also be served in residents rooms if required or preferred. Special diets are catered for by our cooks and residents are encouraged to contribute to menu planning.
A hairdresser visits the home weekly and arrangements can be made for other specialist services such as Summerhill Home has access to an aligned GP practice, community NHS facilities and private Chiropody, Optician and Dental care.
Residents are encouraged to provide feedback and to raise concerns at any time. The monthly residents meeting is an opportunity for residents to provide feedback as well as to inform on any staffing changes, special activities and new developments.
Residents will be assigned a Keyworker. A Keyworker is someone who will work closely with the individual to compile their personal care plan and ensure that they are assisted with their personal hobbies and interests.
A variety of Gospel Hall Assemblies visit Summerhill Home provide readings and services are twice a week, Tuesday Evening and a Sunday Afternoon. Residents attend their own Assemblies and/or Church with their families and friends when able to.
Summerhill Home provides outings and keyworkers arrange small trips with residents.
